miker
My iPC 10.5.6 install on my Asus P5K works great except for sleep. I've installed the OS several times with different kernals, patches and fixes but sleep either sleeps and wakes with lan disabled or does not sleep when told to. The installs so far are: - Valilla Kernal, StageXNU Universal, Voodoo - Nvidia NVdarwin 256MB for my 7800GTX oc -Intel ICHx SATA Driver for my Chipset -ALC883 for motherboard sound -Attansic LI for motherboard lan -Seatbelt.kext 10.5.5 lets me install 3rd party apps -for sleep I tried, ACPI Fix, Shutdown/Restart Fix but nothing I'm also no sure what Chameleon with SMBIOS/DSDT does but I see a few others have installed this. Sleep isn't a big deal so I really shouldn't complain when everything else works. I just like a challange. I'm experiencing random freezing (crashing) problems which I do not understand where they are coming from. Could be from NVKush. Anyway, I see that you have the same mobo as I do and if your system is running sweet then I guess that I'm a bit jealous!!! Because I work with heavy audio apps, I need to make my system stable (which is not at the moment) before starting to work with them. The "sleep" issue is not so important for me. As long as your system is stable, then I would also be interested in applying iPC in my computer instead of iDeneb. Thanx! I've never had it run very long but managed to do a bit of movie editing that looked to be hard on processing. I seemed super stable and never locked up so if I were you I would do a wipe and fresh install of iPC. At the moment I have a fresh iDeneb 10.5.6 and i will try it out. If the problem continues, I will definately go for iPC. I'll keep in touch, if that is ok with you. Thank you!!! brassmonk
try to disable "memory remap" from the bios Well 10.5.6 didn't happen... cause probably the file I downloaded was corrupt. I did a fresh install of 10.5.5 (iDeneb) with "nvinject go" but can't say I'm too happy with the display quality. NVKush was much better. I will try to disable "memory remap" in BIOS and test the system for a while. Thank you so much!
