I got sound, keyboard layout, and dmg problems sorted thanks to you guys but now i need one last thing (i've given up on the shutdown problem - ill just let it get the black screen then force shutdown with the button) i would like to preserve the life of my screen by making it turn off when i close the lid. I set it up to do this in windows. Is there a fix that doesn't make the laptop sleep?
