I am trying to get a previous install of Tiger updated to Leopard up and running again. I am currently dual booting winxp sp2 and 10.4.8 i believe using darwin bootloader v5.0. Its been over a year since i used osx and in that time i have upgraded my vid card from an ati x1800 to a radeon 4870. Before changing video cards i had osx fully functioning for the most part so im hopeful this is possible to upgrade. However I just tried booting into tiger with darwin and using the -v option it basically gets as far: Login Window Application Started and then just hangs there. Further up i can see the following msg a few times: kextd_watch_volumes: couldn't set up diskarb sessions as well as something about an unknown ati card.

Basicallly im wondering if there is anyway to upgrade to 10.5 using kalyway for example and get everything up and running again? Would prefer this option then having to reformat and dealing with the bootloader etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Fyi here are my specs:

Intel 2.4GHZ Core 2 Duo E6600

Asus P5W DH Deluxe

2GB PC2-6400 DDR2

Ati Radeon HD 4870

Logitech Quickcam Ultra Vision

Plextor DVDR PX-716A
