I have a retail 10.5.6 dvd, i downloaded the generic 132 bootloader thing, i get to the part where theres an apple and a spinning thing beneath it, then after a min the disc stops spinning and i get that circle with a slash in it, i have a xfx 680i LT SLI and a intel q6600, why is it not working?

With your 680i MOBO it is AFIK not possible for you to go the Boot-132 retail/vanilla route because it is for Intel chipset + Intel Core2 CPU MOBOs only.............

However, see my Pre-Series 7 nForce chipset thread......start by reading post #1 carefully and by checking your Desktop BIOS settings.....

Start by looking at the BIOS settings template for 680i chipsets in the downloadable template......and modifying your BIOS settings to match the OS X recommended settings.......all of post #1 here is relevant at some point.....also see my blog for install guides.......
