uncholowapo
As the title implies, I have successfully install OSX on my laptop, Toshiba Satellite L45-S7409 to be exact, and doesn't go any further. I left it running for about 10 min. and still nothing. I chose all of the kernel options to be installed and when I use the -v option I see that it loads something the the likes of "Darwin Kernel .... 9.2.2..." or something like that. I get no error messages either. The computer itself has an intel chipset (Mobile Express 965 or something like that) and a Pentium Dual Core which is a full 64-bit CPU that supports Intel's 64-bit Technology. It doesn't have a video card, just a graphics controller. Is there a way to list what kernels I can use? Is it even possible to install on my laptop? I am going to setup a triple boot with XP, Arch Linux, and OSX using GRUB so this would help alot if I could just boot into OSX. Thanks. Jailbreakboy
Don't Choose any graphics or anything, just install the system, don't add anything to the install and try that, thats what I did, and i found out that the patch for the GMA x3100 for intel was causing it Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/159494-stuck-at-apple-loading-screen-after-install-of-ideneb-1055/#findComment-1118978 Share on other sites

verdant
When you say not to add anything to the install do you mean to just install without choosing any drivers or just applications? Initially do not select a video driver, network and audio driver in the Customize menu......they can be installed after you have the basic OS X system working......choosing a kernel, chipset (if not Vanilla MOBO), AppleSMBIOs.....
