Install Guide for HP DV4T -1200 Download and burn to DVD Boot from disk Choose language Goto: Utilities --> Disk Utility --> Erase "OSX drive- where the operating system will go", format as "Mac OS Extended (Journaled)" When done close Disk Utility Select destination Then click "Customize" Check only the following boxes: Essential System Software --> ALL x11 --> ALL Optional Bootloaders --> ChameleonSMBIOS System Kexts --> Essential System Kexts --> ALL GraphicDrivers --> NVida Support-->NVinject --> Nvinject_02.1_512mb GraphicDrivers --> NVida Support-->NVinject --> NvinjecT_gO_512mb GraphicDrivers --> NVida Support-->NVdarwin --> Nvdarwin512mb GraphicDrivers --> NVida Support-->LastMBP NVkexts Powermanagement --> GenericCPUPowermanagement 1.1.3 Others --> USB_fix Others --> IOUSBMassStorageClass 2.0.5 Tools-->KextHelper Tools-->OSX86Tools Tools-->DisplayUtility Once installed download the IDT audio driver/kext "hp_dv5_idt_audio.zip" (search this forum for download link) Open Applications --> Utilities --> Click "Kext Helper b7" load the two kext files from the zip file and reboot. Note: I have tried the Atkios(v10.5.4) and iDeneb1.3 (10.5.4) and the USB, sound, ethernet, esata port, VGA output didnt work Note: some of the kexts I installed above may not be necessary, this is what worked for me... the addition of others usually resulted in the system not working..
