The installation was going fine en i got the screen "installation completed" en request to restart. When de system restarts i get the apple logo en the rotating thingy.En it stays that way. i've tried several other dvd's (kalyway,leo4all,ipc osx86,iatkos) and ideneb is the only one that works. The other dvd's won't start or reboot constantly. I hope anyone can help me. Lanceomni
When the Darwin bootloader comes up you will be prompted to press F8 to add boot options. Use the boot-flag: -v To boot into Verbose mode. Use this every time you boot until your machine is up and running. It will display useful information instead of the apple logo. Just reply back with the last line it stops on and we should be able to troubleshoot from there. In addition to Verbose you can also try these: Verbose + Ignore Kext Cache -v -f Verbose + Safe Mode -v -x Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/159376-installation-okbut-will-not-start-up/#findComment-1117054 Share on other sites

I've asked on another board and they give the the advise to check for some ATA Chipset as it could be a problem of my motherboard. Well, I've tried it today and the problem is still there. BTW, when I boot in -v or anything else for that matter the screen ends up black but nothing else. It stays this way as long as I have patience for. I'll keep an eye on tbis thread. It's interesting. Cheers! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/159376-installation-okbut-will-not-start-up/#findComment-1117283 Share on other sites
Lorenz1
For me it worked to use a SATA HDD in combination with a IDE DVD drive. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/159376-installation-okbut-will-not-start-up/#findComment-1117413 Share on other sites
