Buee
I don't care about Quartz Extreme or any of that stuff. I just want to get out of the 1024x768 resolution purgatory. I have tried editing the boot.plist to include the higher resolution with no luck. I have looked at iAtkos but my understanding is that it only works with Intel, I have an AMD. Is there a way to pull that driver? Seems crazy but I honestly don't care at this point. If I have to be the guinea pig on this, I will be more than happy to fork up my install to do so. I'm running the iPC 10.5.6 install with an AMD processor and the ATI Radeon HD 3400 graphics card. I just bought this machine SPECIFICALLY for OSX86 and will be extremely disappointed. For those that will reply with "Won't work", "why didn't you search the forums" or anything else like that, please don't waste your time. I went through the entire ATI graphics sections but almost everything was from the year 2008 and I would like to think that there is at least a fix for the resolution by now. I've always been of the understand that the word "impossible" doesn't apply to computers, so I have to believe there's a fix. I've seen alot of stuff on this forum that surprised me and defied the laws of Apple, I need just one more here....
