teruist Posted March 26, 2009 Share Posted March 26, 2009 after many hours of tinkering, i finally got 10.5.6 installed using the ideneb iso. however, it will not boot unless i do so in safe mode. a regular boot will hang just before the login screen or show the blue background, then turn black. nothing out of the ordinary shows up in a verbose boot either. in case its a hardware compatibility issue, i have: AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5600+ nForce 520LE 6GB ram ATI Radeon HD 3650 any ideas why it does this?
