pvdbogaard
Planning to build a new system based on Intel I7 920. Motherboard: either the Gigabyte X58 UD3R or Gigabyte X58 UD5 I have no need for the second ethernet port, nor will I need SLI or other multi GPU card gaming setups. Does this mean the UD3R is the way to go, or are there other things that might favor the UD5 (cleaner setup, less problematic OSX installation, etc)? Cooler: Scythe Mugen II (yes, I hope to achieve some nice overclokcing results) OCZ Platinum 1600 memory (3 x 2GB) if UD5 is selected; otherwise a 4 x 2GB OCZ Platinum memory WD Caviar black 1TB SATA Coolermaster powersupply, Real Power M850 Coolermaster CM 690 case Samsung 223Q DVD r/w Still not sure about the grafics card. 9600, 9800, or would a ATI 4870 to a good investement? Will use 2 DVI to connect two displays. (24") Basic use: Photoshop image manipulation Besides the hardware, what would be an advisable way to start reading how to install Leopard? I see such an overwhelming amount of info here, that I am rather dazzled. Thanks.
