DeadlyFoez
This was the thread that finally got me going. http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=158719 What was my issue in the end is I did not have AppleHDA installed. I had tried every driver and every possibility beforehand and that is what finally worked. As far as your kernel panic issue, are you sure it's related to your audio issue? I would suspect that your issue may be something else. But only one way to find out, get audio working correctly. I'm a noob to mac, but I do have a general understand of computer hardware and association with software since I'm a pc tech. I'll see if I can help as much as possible. DeadlyFoez
I used KextHelper (which I had to download) and one of the links on that page for the AppleHDA.kext I'm too inebriated right now to research it again. If you still need help by tomorrow I will be able to help you more. Haven't tested speaker port, but assuming it will work! Thanks!
