Grianspog
Hey there, I have successfully installed leopard on my HP compaq nx7400 through the use of Kalyway's DvD (10.5.2) and everything is working (video, sound, ethernet) except wireless. Using a D-Link DWL G122 (rev. C1) it is listed in the System profiler but it's not in the ethernet adapter list or anywhere else and the USB wifi tool that comes with the installer does not detect the device. I've tried to pinpoint the problem and I think I stumbled upon it but haven't managed to solve it : - during the boot there is the following error message (still allows to load fully) : loaded version 1.6.0 of module com.apple.iokit.IONetworkingFamily.kext differs from requested 1.6.0 (UUID's differ) - when I try to manually load the drivers for the USB wireless adapter (with kextload in the terminal) I get the same message and it fails to load it. So what I'm thinking is that the driver is simply not loaded although it's installed and in the /System/Library/Extensions folder and this is why the wireless isn't working... To resolve this I'd need to fix the IONetworkingFamily.kext problem I'm guessing ? I have absolutely no idea how to do this and help would be welcome. Thanks!
