Hello,

I installed Kalyways 10.5.1 OSX on my Dell Inspiron 700m without a problem. I then tried to update the version to 10.5.4 using the instructions found here http://cocoatree.wordpress.com/2008/07/21/...y-1051-to-1054/.

I got to point 4 where it says "When AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext appears, move it to trash immediatly".

Before I even get a chance to do this OSX crashes, I then reboot and the system crashes as soon as the grey screen appears. Now I can not access the system at all.

I know that this file (AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext) is causing the problem as the error message on crash suggest the CPU is incompatible.

What I want to know is how can I access the OSX filesystem to delete this file so I can boot again?

I have tried using a live Linux distrubtion to mount the OSX partition but it is only read only access, I can see the file there but I can't delete it:(

I'm new to OSX and thus I don't know much commands or if there are any utilities I can use.

I also tried to access the filesystem by booting from the Kalyway install disk and opening up the Terminal from the Utilities menu but it is not root access.

Please help??

Ben
