projekt k
i didnt change anything in my bios setting and have never experimented with over clocking. my core 2 quad is 2.66 ghz. so sometimes i get bored and click "about this mac". but today when i did it instead of it saying "2.66 GHz unknown" it now says "4GHz Unknown" I found it funny. is there a site where i can test my processor to see if this is correct. and i worried it was bad because I am running stock cooling and i dont want to over do it. and again i did not do this on purpose lol please someone answer this post Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/158922-4ghz-processor/ Share on other sites
Running With Scissors
Your processor is not overlocked sometimes OS X just reports it wrong. CPU-X To Check your processor. This should correct your "About this Mac" Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/158922-4ghz-processor/#findComment-1114302 Share on other sites
