gymnastdaniel5
Okay, I did some forum digging for a while to figure out how to get my STAC9205 sound card working, and I managed to get the speakers working, but I know the headphones don't work and the microphone I haven't tested, but I doubt it works, if you want full functionality, this isn't the guide for you, but I couldn't find any guides so I decided to write this quick one. First, you need to download all three things that I attached, which are: AppleHDA Patcher 1.20 An AppleHDA.kext And a linux sound dump for the STAC9205. Next, extract all these files using whatever means you want, and drag the sound dump onto your AppleHDA Patcher icon. After a few seconds, it should say finished or something like that. Next take the kext I attached and put it into the /System/Library/Extensions/ folder and overwrite it. And repair your permissions by going into Disk Utility, selecting your disk and hitting repair permissions, this will take a while. Now reboot and you should have a partially working sound card, congrats! -Daniel AppleHDAPatcherv1.20.zip AppleHDA.kext.zip 9205.txt Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/158903-how-tosigmatel-stac9205/ Share on other sites
