simkard
Hi all ! I'm running an iPC 10.5.6 really fine on my IBM Thinkpad X31. Excepts VGA that is in VESA mode without QE (nor CI) ... because it's a Radeon M6C-16H (Radeon Mobility 7000 ...) ............. The real problem is that i finally got a wireless card (extracted from an old laptop) that is expected to work with leopard ... and as i installed the kext iwi2200.kext, when i arrive in Leo, the Airport icon is shown and when i click on it, it says : "No Airport card installed". -> So i click on it, i go to the NetworkPreferences pane and when i add the Airport card -> CRASH !!! It does this systematicaly. I don't know what to do !? By the way, if someday my card works (which i doubt ...) will it be managed as an Airport device or will i have to use the nsGUI.app and networkselector for managing it ? Here are the errors : system.log 23/03/09 12:55:06 kernel darwin_iwi2200: Ethernet address 00:12:f0:xx:xx:xx 23/03/09 12:55:06 kernel iwi2200: geography 6 = ZZM 23/03/09 12:55:06 kernel iwi2200: E Failed to send TX_POWER: Command timed out. 23/03/09 12:55:06 kernel iwi2200: E Failed to send TX_POWER: Command timed out. 23/03/09 12:55:06 kernel iwi2200: E Failed to send ADAPTER_ADDRESS: Command timed out. 23/03/09 12:55:06 kernel iwi2200: E Failed to send SYSTEM_CONFIG: Command timed out. 23/03/09 12:55:06 kernel iwi2200: E Failed to send SUPPORTED_RATES: Command timed out. 23/03/09 12:55:06 kernel iwi2200: E No space for Tx 0 23/03/09 12:55:06 kernel iwi2200: E No space for Tx 0 23/03/09 12:55:06 kernel iwi2200: E No space for Tx 0 23/03/09 12:55:06 kernel iwi2200: E No space for Tx 0 Network Preferences Pane Crashing Process: System Preferences [294]Path: /Applications/System Preferences.app/Contents/MacOS/System Preferences Identifier: com.apple.systempreferences Version: 5.2 (5.2) Build Info: SystemPrefsApp-1510800~2 Code Type: X86 (Native) Parent Process: launchd [99] Date/Time: 2009-03-23 11:57:28.442 +0100 OS Version: Mac OS X 10.5.6 (9G55) Report Version: 6 Exception Type: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGBUS) Exception Codes: KERN_PROTECTION_FAILURE at 0x0000000000000005 Crashed Thread: Unknown Error Formulating Crash Report: Attempt to map zero-length range 0x0089f10b 0x00bdce3b 0x000b8170 0x000b2123 0x000b1954 0x000b18bf 0x000c6824 0x000c6538 0x000c2011 0x00002e74 0x000094a2 0x0000b5d4 0x0000b121 0x00a3b03b 0x0000a828 0x00a0f095 0x00a0ef52 Backtrace not available Unknown thread crashed with X86 Thread State (32-bit): eax: 0x00000000 ebx: 0x009e356a ecx: 0x00000000 edx: 0x00000001 edi: 0x00000000 esi: 0x00000000 ebp: 0xbfffe748 esp: 0xbfffe730 ss: 0x0000001f efl: 0x00010246 eip: 0x009e3584 cs: 0x00000017 ds: 0x0000001f es: 0x0000001f fs: 0x00000000 gs: 0x00000037 cr2: 0x00000005 Binary images description not available Hope that someone could help me resolving this problem !
