millesm Posted April 24, 2006 Share Posted April 24, 2006 I've used the Myzar 10.4.6 DVD installation and the installation completed in under 30 mins with no problems at all. During boot I notice that it fails on the internal Ethernet port and once booted up, I get no networking at all. I've also tried my Linksys WPC54G which does not work either. Looking at the system information, under Network it just says my built in ethernet is of type 'ethernet' and hardware is ethernet. BSD device name is en0. Under the hardware information for PC Cards I see pci104c,9066 as Network Controller. VendorID is 4172 and DeviceID is 36966. Any idea how to get the onboard ethernet working? I've read a few posts on this and am totally confused... but comfortable with Linux and Windoze so am prepared to hack away if somebody can tell me what I need to do. thanks. millesm Posted April 24, 2006 Author Share Posted April 24, 2006 I have solved my problem..... The solution was Here and worked without any problem for my in built adaptor. Next step, wireless.... Linksys 54G and SMC 2435W don't work.... although at least the SMC lights up when it is installed.
