A year and two months ago, I installed 10.4.8 using the Jas release, but it was time to get me a "new laptop". So this weekend I ordered another gig of ram and set about installing my new OS.

after a lot of trial and error, I finally got it all working right OOB! Of course, this model has no onboard wifi, but my broadcom card got recognized on connect.

 

here are my selection options

no QE or CI tho, but EVERYONE is jealous of my machine, and I'm not one to watch DVDs on my laptop when I can store video on my hard drive, see?

Okay, so here are the pics of my selections!

note: my keyboard and mouse didnt work until after I used a usb kb and mouse to finish the setup after a reboot.

I patched my CD up to PFF5 so it's the complete ipc 10.5.6 version.

Also note: I used only one SMBIOS kext: the third one: AppleSMBIOS-27 Rev3 667MHz

This also worked with my M35x-s111 Toshiba. Though the KB and touchpad didnt work.
