I didn't choose any Kernel at the installation, what is it for ?! the system works just fine besides this problem, and if I need them (pls explain why) how can I add them, and which one of them should I pick ? I have ICH9 chipset /GeForce 8600GT/1.86 Core 2 Duo/2GB/Broadband B/G/ALC888/ (anything else?) Beerkex'd Posted March 25, 2009 Share Posted March 25, 2009 SuperHai's Voodoopower.kext also has a shutdown fix built in. Didn't work for me though, but the speedstepping works great. Might work for you.. /EDIT It definitely fixes shutdown on 10.5.8 though.
