IOAPIC FREEZING FIX?

Ok, so basically, everytime i try to boot into the install dvds from 10.5.X (Leopard dvds) i get stuck on the "IOAPIC: Version 0:21 Vectors 0:23" line of code ...but when i boot from JaS 10.4.8 or Uphuck 10.4.9 cdr 1.3 it boots and does NOT get stuck on that line of code...

 

SO, is there a way to take whatever files are allowing the Tiger dvds to boot and put them into a Leopard distro...say perhaps....my iPC Universal 10.5.6 (Final) dvd (which currently gets frozen on the IOAPIC line)?

 

Perhaps something having to do with APIC or ACPI? any input would be great! thanksssss in advance

 

Also, i installed the 10.4.9 to an external drive and can run it off of there, but that really doesnt do me any good because A) sound doesnt work (i wanna use garage band), and i dont know if pacifist works on tiger, (there is a kext file on the iPC distro for my wifi card) and C) u cant upgrade from 10.4.9 to 10.5.6 (right?)...ok now im done
