supergnu
Hi! I try to get dualboot to work but i have some circumstances that prevent me from using the described methods. my setup: there are three disks. disk 1&2 build a hardware RAID 0 array. on this Raid 0 volume, windows Vista is installed. on the thrd disk, Mac OS is installed. Mac OS does not see this array (since it's got no drivers for it), which is ok. The third disc is a GUID/MBR hybrid. the first partition contains the GUID, the second one contains a non working kalyway installation and the third partition is the actual one i want to boot - the fourth partition is an empty FAT partition. currently, if i want to startup mac os, i have to go to the BIOS and change the boot order to the third disk. then, darwin will appear and i can select the third partition and startup Mac os. How can i get this configuration to dual boot? I tried to use bcdedit and chain0 from windows Vista. I copied chain0 to the root of the harddisk wehre vista is installed, and added chain0 using bcdedit to the vista bootloader. but if i try to start mac OS that way, i get a HFS+ Journaled error - i assume this is because chain0 searches only on the harddisk it is startup from... so - can anyone give me some hints how to get dualboot to work here? thank you! eagertolearn
yeah i got the same error when booting OSX from vista's bootloader. I'm currently using Darwin (osx bootloader) to dualboot OSX and VistaBootloader.
