Matthew L.
Hey, I'm having a strange problem with my Hackintosh. I've used EFI Studio to make my EFI strings. Everything's OK, except one thing, the boot time. If I have verbose off, the thing I see is after a while, the wheel stops spinning, HDD activity goes off in a sec, then after about 20 secs of a frozen bootscreen (the grey thingie doesn't spin), GPU fan goes silent (indicates that nVidia driver takes over GPU), then finally goes to desktop. (A thing to note, w/o EFI strings - nVidia driver not loading - , boot time is way shorter, no frozen spinning grey indicator.) Well, I'd like to ask your help, specs and OS X version in signature, system.log's boot part attached. Thanks in advance! (Edits made in post, because not a Voodoo-kernel issue, nor a kext pack one.) bootlog.rtf Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/158258-slow-boot-with-9600-gt-and-nvidia-driver-in-use/ Share on other sites
