cuco85
hi, at the moment have a windows home server at home. the system specs are: amd x2 5050e asus m3a78-cm mit ati 780v und sb700 8gb ddr2 corsair ram (4x2gb) 3x1TB WD caviar black i would like to make a switch to intel. a mainboard with intergrated graphic would be ok for me. no nvidia. because the WHS has problems with it. a gigabyte G45 board would be the best board i think. because of 16gb ram support and enough sata ports. or which mainboard would you prefer? i have an geforce8400 pcie at home but a supported onboard cpu would be the better energy efficient solution. installation is over a usb dvd drive. now: is it possible to make os x server run on a machine without greater mods? what has to be done? software updates have to work and the server should run without too much occupation. what specs would you prefer for a os x server rig? thanks cuco Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/158205-os-x-server-hardware-and-more-help-please/ Share on other sites
