markills
Hi, I just recently installed the new iAtkos v 5i on my dell xps m1330 and I have no sounds yet but thats not my question.... what could be the possible reason why it boots up sooo SLOW...(makes me wanna shoot myself) anyway yeah it takes about 15-30 mins just for it to boot up.... I have a dual thing with vista..but vista is fine....its just the mac os that is sooo slow... I looked at about mac on my laptop and it says that my bus speed is 800 mhz and above...i think its the CPU speed..is like 2. 43 ghz or something.... I'm just soo confused what could be making it to boot up soo slow.... any clue guys?? when I installed it this is what I checked off PC EFI V9 Appledecript SMBIOS EFI AIR VOODOO kernel Stock ACPI Disable kext PS/2 Both intel SATA Laptop battery ext2fs NFTS 3G then I re did it with the same stuff except I added speed step b and its been like 30 mins and it still hasnt booted up...it just goes the the grey screen and blue screen then black screen...then 30 mins later it boots up and everything is just fine after than.... Oh yea I even the create your account screen is also a turtle...(SLOW) Any suggestions guys??? thanks a lot for your help guys Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/158142-suggestion/ Share on other sites

justvisiting
at the OSx boot prompt, type -v to get a detailed display of the boot process. this might show where the "slow" parts of the boot process are. good luck Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/158142-suggestion/#findComment-1111005 Share on other sites
