Henke
I'm looking for a replacement for my 15" MacBook Pro which I have at my disposal from work right now. The thing is that I quit in June, and I need a replacement that does most of the same things, but at a lower price. I have looked quite a bit at the Dell XPS M1530 with the following specs: Intel Core 2 Duo T8100 (2,10 GHz, 800 MHz FSB, 3MB L2 cache) 4096 MB 667 MHz Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM 320 GB (5400 rpm) SATA HDD Nvidia GeForce 8600M GT w/256 MB RAM 15.4" WUXGA (1920 x 1200) TFT-display Dell Wireless 1505 (802.11n) I believe the chipset is Intel's Santa Rosa platform, although I'm not certain. Now on to the important matter: To what extent will this be a functioning hackintosh? For instance, are there drivers for the GPU to exploit the beautiful WUXGA display? Will the wireless adapter work? I've tried to check the HCLs, the DB and so forth, but I find it hard to extract any conclusive answers from any of those. Any insight and help in this matter will be greatly appreciated!

MyRightEye
It works absolutely perfectly. With a retail install? Are there any other laptops that are known-good? I thought there might be a list here somewhere.
Synaesthesia
Yep. With whatever install. If it works, it works with Retail. Here's a list, but there are more around, look on this forum http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.ph...0.5.2/Portables
