Athel
So I downloaded iDeneb and got the ISO burned to DVD. If I do a normal install (No cusutomization patches) it'll reboot and just give me an apple logo with the circle with a line. From what I gathered I'm getting the "no root to device" error or something to that nature. If I go through the customization screen and choose patches that closely fits my system -- once i reboot i get kernal panics all over the place. So what am I doing wrong? Here are my system specs: Motherboard: GA-P35-DS3L CPU: intel Core 2 Duo E4500 (2.2 Ghz) RAM: DDR2 800 1x3 (3 gigs ram) Video: EVGA 9800 GTX+ Suggestions? Synaesthesia
The circle with a line is better than a kernel panic, so go for that! just give me an apple logo with the circle with a lineIf this happens you just need to select the right settings in BIOS for SATA (AHCI, I think) and the ICH patch. I don't know why it kernel panics though! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/158056-frustrating-install/#findComment-1109710 Share on other sites
