WeeJeWel
I am really new to bios whitelisting, so I am not sure what I am doing is correct. I want to replace the default WLAN card (6300 AGN) with a broadcom one (Dell 1390). I have extracted the 68CVD.BIN file from the BIOS setup, edited this file in an hex editor by changing the ID's. However, phlash16 with MiniDOS fails with the error ''Platform signature not found in the interface'' so I guess my edited bios is just corrupt. Could someone please help me by enabling this card on my laptop? I'll be glad to give you a beer if you can help me get it working. Some information: Laptop: HP EliteBook 8540p Current BIOS: 68CVD (download: ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp49001-49500/sp49314.exe) Current WLAN card: Code: PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_4238&SUBSYS_11118086&REV_35 PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_4238&SUBSYS_11118086 PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_4238&CC_028000 PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_4238&CC_0280 Desired WLAN card: Code: PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_4315&SUBSYS_000C1028&REV_01 PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_4315&SUBSYS_000C1028 PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_4315&CC_028000 PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_4315&CC_0280 Thanks in advance! disarmed
I have an apple broadcom BCM94322MC in my hdx16 and I'm stuck with a blank screen. I tried to flash the bios with a modded (changed vendor id & whitelist removed) bios and still stuck with a blank screen during power on. The broadcom card works in the 2nd mini pcie slot without any trick (pin taping, bios mod) but my problem is the aerials. Any help is appreciated. Thanks! Thanks! ive had black screen with 10.6.8 update in dell inspiron 1520 due to dsdt needing _UID, zero (was missing) or smbios.plist needs a different model and product-id however u say its on power on (and did same problem prior to flashing bios= hardware issue.).. you need to search hp forums. The 'hp forums' just gave me an idea to try search it in the notebookreview.com forums under hp sub-forum ... but I didn't find what I was looking for. I've seen the bios-mods forum before but nothing. Anyway, I'll try to take a second look at that forum again. Thanks bci24sg22!
