ADBD
hi, i've tried every distro and nothing works. not when installing to hdd or with vmware. i've tweaked bios settings etc. is it just an icompatibility issue with my dvd drive, HDD or perhaps mobo? e6300 8800gts 2GB RAM AB9 motherboard lite-on dvdrw LH-18A1H ATA WDC WD2500KS-00MJB0 ATA hard-drive vista 32-bit Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/157531-do-i-have-to-buy-new-hardware/ Share on other sites
thorazine74
Are you installing from ATA to ATA?, you need to find out detailed specs about your motherboard, specifically the southbridge chipset or better the pata controller your motherboard has, and then find out a distro that supports that controller. Look in the mobo's manual or website or use lavalys everest for windows.
