From what I've seen on iPC 10.5.6 installation, "checking part" you should be able to install an HD 3850 AGP. Just search for ATI -> HD 3850 -> AGP or PCI (HD3850 AGP for you), and check everything else that you need. I'm dealing with same issues. Seems to be tons of PCIe drivers for the 3850, but nothing for AGP.
