cwall64
Does anybody have a resolution to get the screen saver lock to work? I have three nicely working OSx86 installs, with sleep and everything working great - but I just noticed that the screen saver lock nor the lock from adding keychain access to the menu bar do not lock the desktop (it starts the screen saver). I have and old powerbook and Mac Pro that have 10.5.6 and lock works on both of them? On my OSx86's I only have 12 modified kexts: /Extra/Extensions.mkext contains AppleDecrypt.kext AppleHDA.kext HDAEnabler.kext IntelCPUPMDisabler.kext JMicronATA.kext LegacyAppleAHCIPort.kext LegacyAppleIntelPIIXATA.kext LegacyIOAHCIBlockStorage.kext LegacyJMicronATA.kext VoodooPower.kext /System/Library/Extensions contains AppleSMBIOSEFI.kext RealtekR1000.kext Anybody have any thoughts? jboehm
I added this line to the end of my /etc/rc.common file and reboot and it fixed the problem defaults -currentHost write com.apple.screensaver askForPassword -int 1 If Apple changes the /etc/rc.common file during an update you may have to do this again. Basically this line executes on startup for all users.
