venkymac
Hi, My sys config is intel pentium m 1.5ghz MMX,SSE,SSE2, bus-99.7mhz, rated fsb-398.7mhz IBM 2888AA2 board, intel i855GM/GME chipset 256mb PC2700 166.1mhz ram 40gb 4200rpm HDD What ram and hdd should I get for a not so slow operation of xcode tools if install mac? Should I get a graphics card also and which one? Which distro is best for the above specs? I have read iDeneb has lots of bugs. iATKOS has some bugs with SSE2 processors. May be, KALYWAY is good. I want to make 2 installations one on my USB drive and other on my notebook. Is the distro you are recommending also easy to install on a USB drive? The only purpose for me to install mac is iphone dev. Please mention if iphone SDK may have any difficulties in installing in that distro. The distro has to be a hack of mac 10.5.5 or higher. Thats needed for the iphone SDK. venkymac
Any idea about other distros? If I want to install it on a USB stick, should I worry about max read/write of a USB drive? venkymac
I want to install it "on" an USB. This would allow me to carry mac wherever I go. I can jus plugin my mac USB and start working on it. Did you answer for that? jeff89179
I want to install it "on" an USB. This would allow me to carry mac wherever I go. I can jus plugin my mac USB and start working on it. Did you answer for that? i tried installing kalyway on my san disk cruzer 8gb usb drive and it was excruciatingly slow to install and just as slow to run. but maybe thats because of the version or the amount of free space. i am going to try another distro though.
