So I have a DV5-1235dx and installed v10.5.6. I currently have to boot from the DVD as booting from the hdd is not working. I saw from another post that EFI V9 should be a working solution. I install and it completes, however it does not fix my booting issue... it actually doesn't seem to do anything at all so I'm wondering if I installed it correctly. Wouldn't really mind booting from DVD if I could get the wireless card working (Broadcom 4315). Any help is appreciated!!!

Hey, I have the same the issue. I can only boot my 10.5.6 in HDD from DVD. iATKOS v5...

Still have this issue... During boot I get the message "Failed to load extension com.apple.driver.AppleACPIPCI." Also, when I attempt to edit the com.apple.Boot.plist I get the message "/bin/sh: /Volumes/NO: No such file or directory (127). I'm sure this is probably a common fix.... I just have no idea what I'm doing
