I have a Dell Optiplex GX280 with a 2.8 GHz Pentium 4 HT processor, 1GB RAM, 320GB HD, Intel integrated graphics, DVD burner, ect... I have tried a few times to boot from the disk i burned, and if i try to start normally, i get the spinning wheel, but then it stops. if i type in -v then it stops at something for internet.

a little off topic, but i tried to boot from this disk on my dell dimension 8400 with a 3GHz pentium 4 -and i got the apple loading screen with a circle and a line through it. its got 512 ram, 160gb hd, and some ati 128mb video card. any ideas?

i mainly want to do it on the optiplex because its more reliable and always connected to the monitor, as opposed to having to change the monitor to the 8400
