I have a Thinkpad which has osX running fine. OSX is installed onto the second disk which is located in the expansion bay. Normally this expansion bay holds the DVD-Rom. As a result of this when I run osX it does not see any DVD-rom.

When I mount a ISO image to view a DVD using iDVD, the mount works fine but then when iDVD tries to load it states that it cannot find a DVD-Rom device.

Is there any way of getting it to ignore the fact there is non DVD-Rom so that it can run the dvd files on the hard disk?

Many thanks

Rob
