mast3rpyr0
Ok so Ive installed the iPC release successfully once before with AHCI mode enabled in the bios. Now i have the AHCI mode set to RAID in the bios because i have a RAID 5 array along with a boot drive. Is there anyway I can install the iPC release without needing AHCI mode, or maybe a different driver for the RAID mode? i know windows has that driver... P.S. - iPC is like the only release that works on my system for some reason, all the others i cant even get to the installation screen. Oh and i tried searching but nothing came up but im sure this has been asked before.. Thanks. mrfatboy
I have installed two systems without AHCI enabled in bios (IDE only). A GA-P45-UD3R (iPC) & Asus P5K-E (iDeneb). I have always read that you need AHCI enabled but I didn't need to. I even posted in the forum yesterday about it. mast3rpyr0
Well AHCI is a sata technology, so its not needed on IDE. How is your iPC rig configured tho? mrfatboy
My bios for my ep45-udsr is set to: My ep45-udsr BIOS is set to: SATA RAID/AHCI MODE Disabled SATA AHCI MODE Disabled SATA PORT 0-3 MODE Enabled OnBoard SATA/IDE Device Disabled Onboard SATA/IDE Ctrl Mode IDE Doesn't that mean its all running in IDE. My xp dual boots also and it would not run in AHCI mode.
