I am looking to build my first hackintosh around a Core 2 Duo CPU. I am looking for it to be fully compatible with as little hassle as possible, it does not need to have much graphics capability but it does need to be quiet.

I already know what Case/PSU/Hard disk I am going to use but i am looking for some help on the rest. I am new to this, but I am not new to OS X or linux, I'm usually pretty good with this kind of stuff. Ideally I just need a push in the right direction because there seems to be massive depth to this.

Can anyone recommend a Mobo and graphics card paired with an installation guide/distro which I could use for minimum hassle?

Thanks

You're just like every other new user here. There's about six million threads asking the EXACT same thing you are. "I don't want hassle, I just want a cheap mac, HELP!" Read the countless other threads. This post is so generic, it kills me. :)

Running OSx86 is a project and can be fun and rewarding. Read the forums and threads before posting this clutter. :)
