ywdt
Hi, I bought an Acer 7720G some time ago. It is a very nice peace of hardware and I wanted to install Mac Os X on it. I tried differents distro with different results. Specs of my 7720g are - Intel T7500 / 2200Mhz - Intel PM965 Chipset - ICH8M-E - 2Gb Ram - 2xWDC 250Gb SATA - Nvidia GeForce 8600M GT - Realtek ALC268 Audio Chip - Broadcom BCM5787M Gigabit Ethernet - Intel 4965AGN Wifi I used iATkos 5, IDeneb v1.4 10.5.5, IPc 10.5.6 PPF5, Kalway 10.5.2. The most succesfull was the Kalway but i did not manage to get the Audio, ALC268 & BCM5787 working. Also Kalway did not boot w/o DVD inserted in the drive. With all other distro i got a kernel panic after installation. (ideneb 10.5.5 Failed to load extension com.apple.driver.AppleACPIPlatform) I tried to switch from AHCI to IDE w/o success too. So now, can someone post the links to - Working ALC268 Ktext - Working 4965AGN - Working BCM5787M And telling me why i can not boot directly from HD. (I use always the boot dvd with rd=disk0s2) Any help appreciated. Thanks you. ywdt I posted the fix I already found.. http://rapidshare.com/files/183080362/ALC268FIX.zip alc268_january08.zip iwi4965.dmg Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/156210-acer-7720g-leopard-install/ Share on other sites
