jschmidt Posted March 5, 2009 Share Posted March 5, 2009 Hello, I have an HP a6500f box. Integrated video (NVidia on box). I have tried booting from many distro's with no luck. This includes that latest iDeneb 10.5.5 (both patched with NForce and without), iDeneb 10.5.4, and JAS 10.5.4. None of them will boot the install CD. I get "Still waiting on Root device" when booting with -v. Without I just get the "Do Not Enter" sign. Should I try copying the install to a USB key instead? Or is there something wrong with the video on the MB? The BIOS does not have an option for setting AHCI in it. Would be nice to try OSX.
