dublove
Am I right in thinking that any usb external soundcard will work 100% as long as there are osx(intel/universal) drivers for it? In fact pretty much anything usb with appropriate driver should work in theory? The mac drivers for my logitech dual mouseman certianly work with usb. TheGreatDeceiver
I have a usb headset that works fine in osx (altec lansing) and a 24bit 5.1 creative usb soundadapter that works perfectly fine (with the exception that itunes doesn't know 5.1, but that can be eliminated with vlc media player). that's 2 out of 2 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/15611-usb-sound-etc/#findComment-100330 Share on other sites
compu-tor
Everything USB I've thrown at it works, and works well. I Bought one of those Turtle Beach USB sound dongle knockoffs on eBay for $7, plugged it in, and it worked. No 5.1, but great stereo, and the mic input works. LiquidDookie
Has anyone else used to Creative XMod USB sound device? I couldn't get my onboard sound to work so I got one of these. Now, sound works more than before, but it pops and skips quite a bit. Anyone run into this? Anyone got an idea how I may fix it? There aren't any installable drivers available that came with it or on the Creative website but it lists OSX as being supported(version 10.4.3 or better).
