Alacres
Hey guys, I'm sorry for starting a new thread, but I've been googling and I haven't been able to find anyone else with my exact problem. I've just installed Leopard on a clean SATA (Mounted USB) drive, and the install seemed to go through pretty smooth without a hitch. But afterwards when I try to boot up it gives me the following errors - AppleNForceATA: Nvidia nforce by medevil (CMD 0x170, CTR 0x374, IRQ 15, BM 0xffa8) USBF: 23.175 EHCI controller unable to take control of the BIOS. USBF: 23.175 APPLEUSBHCI [0x3929800] unable to obtain ownership: 0xe00002be USBF: 23.175 APPLEUSBHCI [0x3929800]::UIMInitialize - Error occured (0xe00002be) USBF; 23.178 AppleUSBEHCI: unable to initialize UIM USBF: 27.874 AppleUSBOHCI [0x386c800]:: CheckSleepCapability - OHCI controller will be unloaded across sleep And then the end all message - "Still waiting for root device". These are my specs - Mainboard : MSI K9N4 SLI-F (MS-7325) Chipset : nVidia nForce4 Processor : AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+ @ 2600 MHz Physical Memory : 2048 MB (2 x 1024 DDR2-SDRAM ) Video Card : NVIDIA GeForce 8500 GT (2x SLI) DVD-Rom Drive : SONY CD-RW CRX320EE I haven't changed any settings in the BIOS, as I wasn't sure if I needed to change anything. I feel like I'm so close to getting this to work, but I'm completely stumped at this point. I'm honestly not the best at this kind of stuff, but I'm dying to figure out what's causing the problem. Any help and advice you guys can spare would be greatly appreciate. Thanks in advance. I just wanted to add that I'm using an older copy of Leopard (hence the 10.5.1) because I wasn't sure which of the newer versions were right for an AMD computer. If you guys think that that might be the problem, I'd be really greatful for some recommendations for a newer version that has more of the kinks worked out (assuming that my old version is actually the problem here). I'd also be happy to go with Tiger, if it would work out easier.
