Hack-in-tosh-2009
HP Pavilion a6750f (default hardware, nothing added or removed). Been trying to use iPC OSx86 Universal 10.5.6 as it seems to be the only DVD which is able to boot far enough on my pc. http://######.com/ipcosx86/?page_id=96 AMD Phenom x4 9650 Quad-Core (supports SEE, SSE2, SSE3, and SSE4a) (64 bit) ATI Radeon HD 3200 Graphics 8GB DDR2 Ram 750GB (SCSI / RAID) DVD-R (with LightScribe) So I've boot into my BIOS and turn off my IEEE (with it on, I get the famus error, Waiting for devise to load). I also switched from RAID to the 3rd option (forget what that was, but read some place it works better). I have also tried the 2nd option which was IDE. Both end with the same out come (no change). I changed the basic auto detects for mouse, sound, and such to enable. Told it to boot to DVD first, then hard drive. The DVD loads and you get the start up screen (the one with the gray apple logo, with the circle below it which tells you its thinking). It then moves to the next screen which only shows you the mouse and then the mouse changes to thinking mode, but that's it. It stays thinking forever. I can move it though (so at least its not frozen). I've pressed F8 and then -V upon start up and everything seems to be running good, until it gives a few erros on how it can not probe and/or write to the hard disk. Of couse -V skips the 1st scrren (with apple log), but it does make it to the 2nd screen where the mouse is and that's it. So what am I doing wrong or missing here? Hack-in-tosh-2009
Update, I pre-formatted my hard drive in Apple format, using a 3rd party program and for 1 second a new window come up (looks like the one which ask you if you want it in English or not), but then the screen goes back to the one with just the mouse again.
