MrMookMook
Hi All, I am trying to install iDeneb 10.5.6 on my laptop Asus N80VN-GP011C, but when I try to boot it up with Mac OS X Leopard it just shows 'using 16384 buffer headers and 4096 cluster IO buffer headers'. I have tried all of the fixes and nothing works. I have also downloaded iPC 10.5.6 but the install for that does not boot. Any help on this would be much appreciated. If this helps the specs for the laptop are: CPU Type Intel Core 2 Duo P8600 Screen 14.1" WXGA Memory Size 4GB DDR2 Hard Disk 320GB Optical Drive DVD Super Multi Graphics Card NVIDIA GeForce 9650M GT Video Memory 1024MB CPU Speed P8600(2.40GHz) CPU FSB 1066MHz CPU L2 Cache 3MB Chipset Intel PM45 Thanks for the help, Mr Mook Mook Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/155707-leopard-on-n80vn-gp011c-help-please/ Share on other sites

justinvathje
hello, i have that same computer and successfully installed mac osx86 using IPC dual layer live version. you do not need to use the live part of it, but it has a patch that will work with this computer, i am in the same situation as you, i cant install ideneb using their acpi patch. but using the ipc dual layer disc i have a working installation, but have failed to get QE to be enabled, sound card working(although there seems to be a fix), and the wireless card. one other person(at least) seemed to get the video card with QE fully working, good luck! website: http://######.com/ipcosx86/?page_id=201 and this is what i believe i selected to install it: base system kernel 9.5.0 voodoo nvinject 1024mb intel ICH10 SATA(might have been the ICHX) intel 82566mm/dc network card intel proset 4965 wireless(i know you have the 5100, but i thought i would try it, no success though) fixes acpi fix cpus=1(the only distro that doesn't seem to require this fix for our laptop is ideneb, thats why i want ideneb to work) hope it works for you edit: come to think it i think i needed a keyboard or maybe a mouse patch, im reinstalling now and will update you on if i have success with the options i wrote here. edit2: yeah you need to install the keyboard fix Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/155707-leopard-on-n80vn-gp011c-help-please/#findComment-1138616 Share on other sites
