blacklabel1783 Posted March 1, 2009 Share Posted March 1, 2009 hey guys. error message: "AirPort has a self-assigned ip address and may not be able to connect to the internet. inspiron 1525 iatkos v4i. upgraded to 10.5.5 wireless card is bcm4312 [14e4:4315] via osx86 tools tried : bmc43xx_enabler 0.5.1pre.sh.zip......bcm43xx_enabler 0.5.2.sh.zip.....bcm43xx_enabler 0.5.sh.zip with the appleairport4311 kext my wifi sees all of the wireless networks in my area. and i can connect to my wireless connection fine. it gives me ip address 169.254.55.54/sub 255.255.0.0 ---router: is blank guys: is there something that i am missing? i have gotten the wifi card to work before, but it was around six months ago and i forgot what i did to get it to work. restarted router and cable modem with no luck. i also notice that the appleairport4311 kext is not showing up in Extensions.
