xxx 10.5.6 + intel gma900

can't seem to get it right; ( allmost there)

 

well; where to start...

i think i tried about 30 different installs with numerous different discs...

 

now the following

I have a hp dv 4000 with intel gma900 chip.

 

with the setup i chose i get it working in safe mode;

But normal mode messes up my screen.

It does boot; but if it is finally booted; half the screen is black; the other half is white; and the only thing i can do is move the mouse.

 

no icons are visable; as well with or without the 2nd monitor atached.

If i boot safe mode ; everything works; yet of cource i have no QE

 

what i used is the folowing:

 

HP PAVILION DV 4000

 

XXX_10.5.6_FINAL

 

( WITHOUT PPF3 )

 

 

booting into the dvd needs the external monitor fix

i used an s-video cable connected to my tv

then the setup does start normally

Well that's about it;

Does anyone know how to get the QE working properly?

 

everything i tried now makes the system crash and i end up reinstalling everything.

 

( i have had it working with some other version ; but it won't work anymore;

Probably because i am using patched kexts.

 

can anyone tell me whitch kexts i shoud fix ( to their default 10.5.6 ( and where to get them)

 

And the whitch patch i should try?

 

btw system profiler says:

all the other pars are not really important i guess
