I can not get past the boot prompt while using the Boot132 (generic.iso) and a retail Leopard 10.5.6 disk method.

a) I get the boot prompt

b ) I replace the boot132 disk with the leopard disk

c) I press enter

d) I enter 80 ( I only have one disk ).

then I get the unexpected behavior of the boot prompt.

If I enter 00 rather than 80 the machine reboots and after some time prompts me to "Reboot and Select proper Boot device or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot device and press a key".

I am using Asus P5E-VM DO mother board with Intel core 2 quad.

I am using a Leopard 10.5.6 retail disk which is part of a box set family pack.

I am using the generic boot132 iso.

I have one SATA disk (BIOS setting IDE)

I see others having easy installs on P5E-VM HDMI so I am hopeful that my DO board will work.

I had to change the name of INITRB.IMG to initrb.img on generic.iso to get it to boot.

Could it be that the Leopard disk is a upgrade disk rather than a full retail?

What .kext files should I make sure are on my iso?

What is the easiest way to burn a new .iso with the lower case initrb.img file on a mac? I had to use my wife's vista box and magiciso.exe that was a pain for several reasons.
