Here are my system specs

Asus P5QL Pro

-Realtek ACL1200 integrated sound

-Atheros AR8121/AR8113/AR8114 Gigabit LAN

Intel C2D 3.2GHz

4GB 800MHz DDR2

250GB HDD

Nvidia GeForce 9800GT

I am posting this from my iatkos 5i installation. I currently have a Linksys Wireless nic connecing me to the internet.

Here are the issues I'd like to solve.

3D Acceleration

I used the nvinject driver for my graphics card, 2d works fine but 3d is a no go. The card is made by XFX. Is there a driver that I can use that will enable 3d acceleration? I also wonder if this is the reason that I don't have DVD playback capability.

Audio

I used a driver provided in this post:

Audio works but my front headphone / mic ports do not work. They work in Windows so I know everything is connected fine.

Is there a better driver I can use?

Network

Is there a working driver for my chipset? I don't mind ordering a PCI /PCI-E gigabit card, but I'd like get suggestions on what works well, and easily.

Bluetooth

Are there any dongles I can pick up that will give my Bluetooth capability?

Thanks for your time. I'm trying to do searches on google and at this site but it can be temperamental at times. I'm kinda new to this stuff, but I'm not afraid of the CLI. Enough linux experience has me comfortable with it.

Graphics Card Update!!!

I finally got my XFX 9800 GT 512MB Card working with iATKOS 5i and here's how.

Installation I had to use NVinject to boot into OSX

Bluetooth from my Logitech MX5000 is working, still testing with my Bluetooth headset, Best Buy brand. The unit needs to charge, sometimes on a low charge audio won't work but the mic will. I'm getting that in OS X so after the charge I should know for sure.

My mouse connected with no problem.

Here's where I got my fix

I followed the directions exactly

Well I hope this discussion has been helpful to someone.

I also want to mention that my iPhone 3g (not jail-broken) works with 0 issues on my install. I even used the remote program to manage my Music Library. I use this to stream music to my Bluetooth headphones while around the house.

Last night I successfully updated to 10.5.6 through Apple's update service. I am using the vanilla kernel on iAtkos 5i (I didn't select a custom kernel during install) and retained my USB functionality. I know some users reported losing USB 2.0 functionality. I was fortunate enough to have a spare hdd that I tested the update on rather than borking my 10.5.5 install.

I did have an interesting discovery late last week. My LG DVD burner (Model HL-DT-ST DVD-RAM GH22LS30) will not burn with the Disc Utility. It always says the disc is full and can not be used. I put it in my Pioneer drive and it works just fine.

Roxio Toast 10 Titanium uses the burner (HL-DT-ST DVD-RAM GH22LS30) with no problems.
