haihu
Hi everyone, I have the Logitech Wave Pro wireless keyboard/mouse combo which works wonderfully under OS X. The problem I'm having is that when I get to the Darwin boot screen to select an OS, my keyboard isn't recognized and I'm unable to select the OS of my choice. The keyboard works fine when I first boot up my computer -- I can access the bios, etc... but once Darwin loads, it becomes unusuable. The keyboard uses a wireless usb dongle to connect to my PC. Any help would be appreciated, thanks! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/155452-darwin-doesnt-recognize-wireless-keyboard/ Share on other sites
br492
Get into Bios and enable something like legacy usb or usb keyboard, usb mouse Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/155452-darwin-doesnt-recognize-wireless-keyboard/#findComment-1094331 Share on other sites
haihu
That option is already enabled. It seems to happen sporadically now. I also figured out that if it does happen, I can get the keyboard to work again by pulling out and reinserting the usb dongle... well, everything seems to working ok now, so I guess that's all that matters. snebla
Hi People, I've been having the same problem with the same keyboard + mouse combo (Logitech Desktop Wave Pro). This has been happening since I got them (mid Dec '08), initially I blamed the motherboard (ASUS P5Q Pro) so I swapped it for a different one (Gigabyte EP45-UD3R) however the issue remains the same. The symptoms are exactly as Haihu described, the keyboard works in BIOS and sometimes in Darwin, however in my case it doesn't work in Darwin more then 50% of the time. The workaround exists (unplug and plug in again the dongle) however it's still annoying to have to do it every time the system is rebooted. Any suggestions welcome. haihu
I've narrowed down the problem if that helps to some how solve it. It only happens when I restart my computer from OS X. Sometimes when I start it after having shut it down from OS X as well. It does not happen at all when I shut down or restart from Vista.
