jvarsity
As is, I have a stock dell c521 and based on previous posts, it's rather easy to get osx86 installed. My problem is that I was getting the "still waiting for root driver" error, but the rd=disk0s1 command fixed that to an extend. Now instead of getting the root driver error, I get a damn kernel panic. I don't even know where to begin looking to learn how to fix this. I've tried many things like switching my HD to primary as opposed to my dvd drive, partitioning the harddrive in various ways, formatting the harddrive entirely. Any advice would help. Even pointers as to where I should look. Heres my error: BSD root: disk0s1, major 14, minor 1 nfs_boot: networking is not initialized panic(cpu 0 caller 0x002D8862): "nfs_boot_init failed with 6\i dont feel like typing all of this let me know if it is actually relevant to the solution debugger called: <panic> I've gotten this error too: IOATACONTROLLER device blocking bus Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/155384-c521-kernel-panic/ Share on other sites
