ALEXMason
Hi, Well after successfully installing and running Mac os on my gaming rig i have been asked by my bro to install the Mac OS onto his, the thing is his PC is running on an AMD Phenom II 940 CPU, and i'm just wondering if it's possible to run the Mac os on this? Thanks Alex

Shadow_2k
Try iPC 10.5.6 and make sure to select the 9.5.0 voodoo kernel from the customization tab. (vanilla kernel doesn't support AMD CPUs)
tracer bullet
Just finished installing iPC 10.5.6 Final on my Phenom II x4 940 system (see below) It works
ALEXMason
Tracer Bullet what settings/options did you use? I have IPC final at 95% downloaded so after that i shall try and install it. Alex Also Shadow 2k is your 9800gtx+ fully working under Mac and what did you use to get it to work? As that's the only thing not fully working personally for me. tracer bullet
Tracer Bullet what settings/options did you use I just installed Voodoo 9.5.0 kernel + seatbelt, you may need more for your mainboard/chipset. OS X doesn't recognize it as Phenom2 CPU (I think it claims 'Unknown' CPU @ 3GHz) but all 4 cores are working.
