Sancho
I have a HP d5000t - Intel quad-core. I had a working Kalyway 105.2 installation. I tried to update to 10.5.3 using kalyway update. But the instructions said to run the combo update package first and then the kernel update package. I've done the opposite. In netkas update instructions it told to run "while sleep 1 ; do rm -rf /System/Library/Extensions/AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext ; done I did do this. It also told me to modify open this file in textedit - /System/InstallAtStartup/scripts/1 find there string /System/Library/Extensions/Dont Steal Mac OS X.kext There was no such string in the "1" script. Now leopard stops during boot up after getting root device. I believe the last screen output is Firewire. I can boot to single user mode and tried running the kernel update pkg file using installer command but other than an error like "unable to get uuid" there is no response. Any suggestions? Should I try to restore the extension files I backed up? Or should I try to install jas 10.5.3 update for example Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/155296-update-problem-from-1052-to-1053-kalyway/ Share on other sites
